Visit to SRRC Mannavanur on 27.05.07

After visiting Rajamalai Hills (Munnar) and Rajamalai (Tahr)Goats ,again I have visited SRRC , Mannavanur(Kodaikanal) on27th of May '07 ,still this station thrilled me as the Scientists here are working hard to bring something for the farmers who are interested in rearing Sheeps. To our misfortune this staion's working nature is being restricted to sheeps only.

SRRC is Southern Regional Research Centre. It is a branch of Central Sheep & Wool Research Institute under ICAR, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India. The mandate of the Institute is to conduct research on Sheep, rabbit and wool production as well as utilization. It conducts training program for farmers on payment basis. Dr A S Rajendiran
